Han - (202 B.C. - A.D. 220)
The son of Shihuangdi, Hu Hai, had a short and tumultuous reign ending in 207 B.C. with his assassination at the climax of a rebellion led by Xiang Yu a general of Chu and Liu Bang who had started his career as a bandit. Liu Bang took the crown of the Han as emperor and took the reign name of Gaozu. He established his capital at Chang'an (Xi'an) and there inaugurated one of the longest dynasties in Chinese history.
