A highly unusual and fine quality early Western Han (206 B.C. - 6 A.D.) granary with original lid. The lid itself is quite highly decorated in a crown form with complete cover of decorative bosses.

The body is decorated in finely engraved repeats in border style of alternate circle in circle and diamond motifs. The feet are finely detailed in a bear form.
