This is one of my favorite pieces of all our galleries. It is a large half glazed early Eastern Han globular jar with original lid - extremely unusual. The body is a pink buff color burned from firing with a mottled olive glaze on the upper third. Three rings of triple drawstring lines are overglazed in a darker green color. The mask form handles are gracefullly luted onto the upper third of the vase.

This is a remarkable piece!
